A federal judge has ruled on a pay dispute between Johnson City, and members of the city`s Professional Firefighters Association.
The two sides have been at odds for nearly two years.
The settlement allows firefighters to receive overtime.
They had fought for the extra pay when they work ten shifts in a month.Typically, they work nine, 24-hour shifts each month.
The agreement also keeps benefits the same.
In addition, the city will be required to pay roughly 75 firefighters back pay of just over 81 thousand dollars.
