Joseph Avey was released early today after posting bond.
Avey and fellow firefighter Chris Bishop were arrested early yesterday at the fire station where they work.
A former Phoenix firefighter, Darryl Lanning, also was arrested.
Bishop and Lanning remain in jail.
The Arizona Republic says Lanning told investigators the three were paid to torch a one and a-half (m) million-dollar home under construction on Phoenix' northwest side December 20th.
Court documents say a Peoria firefighter, Robert Brewster, allegedly hired the three. According to the documents, Brewster was owed several thousand dollars by the homeowners for concrete work he had done on the home in an off-duty business.
Brewster is being called an investigative lead by sheriff's investigators. No charges have been filed against him.
