Emergency crews responded to a fire call at a Downtown apartment building overnight. The incident happened around midnight Tuesday at the James Robertson Apartments on 7th Avenue North.
Firefighters say they heard reports of a big booming noise. The source of the blast is unknown, but it apparently caused a power outage. There was a strong smell associated with the outage, many describe as smelling like bacon and eggs.
A fire was never found in the building. Firefighters did evacuate several residents and had to help one person escape from an elevator, but never found any smoke or flames.
