WASHINGTON TWP. -- A local firefighter has been selected to fill a vacant seat on the Washington Township Board of Fire Commissioners.

According to the fire district's Web site, www.wtfd10.com, Scott Graboyes, a life member of the Hurffville Fire Department, was selected to serve on the five-member board.

Last month, Bob Alexander left the commission. Graboyes will fill the seat until the next fire district election in February. To retain the seat for a full three-year term, Graboyes must stand for election next year, the site reported.
