Richmond's water rescue crews were back in action again Thursday night on the James River, this time answering two calls within minutes of each other near Belle Isle.
The first call came in shortly after 6 p.m. when two men got stuck on a rock. They were pulled to safety, and fortunately the only injury was a laceration on one man's leg.
Rescuers then received a second call, this time for a woman who fell down a later near the old power plant on Belle Isle. She was taken to the hospital with a broken ankle.
Rescuers continue to warn about the dangers of the river. Officials say the two men rescued in the water were not wearing life vests, and were ticketed by police.
