CARSON, Calif. (AP) -- A warehouse fire sparked when a halogen floor lamp fell on a stack of carpets caused an estimated $200 million in smoke damage, officials said.

Five firefighters were injured while battling the smoldering blaze Friday evening, said Los Angeles County fire Inspector Ed Osorio. Four were treated at a hospital for smoke-related injuries and heat exhaustion, and the other was treated for a foot injury, he said.

The fire was put out in about two hours.

It caused about $250,000 damage to the building and about $200 million in damage to the imported Asian rugs, some of which were worth ``well into the tens of thousands of dollars apiece,'' Osorio said.
