The Sheriff's Department believes the two people were cooking meth inside a garage. Suddenly, a tank filled with ammonia ruptured, causing a flash fire. The woman died on the scene.

The man was airlifted to a Nashville hospital. Their names haven't been released yet.

Investigators say this unfortunate incident shows that meth isn't just highly addictive. It's highly explosive because it's made with chemicals that don't mix with each other very well.

"Primarily, we're just seeing a lot of folks who think they are chemists that are dealing with this and you see the result that has happened today," said First Deputy Pat Stockdale of the Hickman County Sheriff
