Jan. 17--Three fires in two counties caused some minor traffic delays on Interstate 95 on Monday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The first accident involved a vehicle fire on northbound I-95 near Glades Road in Boca Raton around 3:30 p.m. but it was considered minor, according to Boca Raton Fire Rescue spokesman Frank Correggio.

Two more incidents involved smoky grass fires on the west side of I-95 near Oakland Park Blvd. and on the east side of I-95 between Commercial Blvd. and Cypress Creek Road around 5:30 p.m. that temporarily shutdown one northbound lane but no vehicles were involved, FHP Sgt. Mark Wysocky said.

Traffic was lighter than usual because of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, they said.
