D.C. Firefighter Hurt At School Fire

Students were evacuated after the fire was discovered on the roof of the school.

WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- A firefighter has been injured, while fighting a fire on the roof of Anacostia High School, police said.

The firefighter fell through the roof, but was not trapped in the fire. Officials called for paramedic assistance to help the firefighter.

You can see the fire as far away as Capitol Hill. Anacostia Senior High is under renovation, students were evacuated after the fire started.
