Firehouse Magazine and the Volunteer & Combination Officers Section (VCOS) of the International Association of Fire Chiefs are compiling the fourth annual Combination Fire Department Run Survey featuring statistics on apparatus fleets, budgets, membership and 2013 fire and EMS calls.
The survey is open to all combination fire departments in the U.S. and Canada. Chiefs and officers of combination fire departments use the data that we collect to help improve department operations and to assess how they compare with their peers, particularly in regard to call volumes, budgets, apparatus fleets and staffing.
