Luxfer’s LCX-XD® (Xtreme Duty) cylinders are uniquely designed for the most demanding firefighting and first-response situations encountered by units requiring exceptionally rugged cylinders. XD cylinders were designed and developed in consultation with departments carrying out operations in close-quarter urban environments such as fire escapes and underground transit systems. Additionally, XD cylinders are ideal for drag-rescue simulation training activities.
Through Luxfer’s proprietary manufacturing process, XD cylinders feature reinforced dome and valve ends shown to provide three times the abrasion and damage resistance of standard Luxfer LCX® cylinders and competing products. Manufactured in the USA and currently available in a high-pressure, 45-minute size, LCX-XD cylinders meet all NFPA, NIOSH and SCBA OEM requirements and are approved to applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) and Transport Canada (TC) standards.
