Survey Find’s Nation’s Firefighters Not Adequately Prepared, Funded and Equipped for Terror/WMD

As the United States gears up for the possibility of additional terrorist actions on our door steps, an overwhelming majority of firefighters surveyed on Firehouse.com, 87 percent, said their fire departments do not have the necessary equipment to respond to a Weapons of Mass Destruction incident, and 90 percent said local and federal governments have not provided enough funding to properly respond to mass casualty incidents.
