A firefighter in Lynchburg, Ohio died after falling ill inside a fire station last night, according to the USFA.
Volunteer Firefighter Robert Hall, 57, with the Lynchburg Area Joint Fire & Ambulance District had exited a firehouse meeting and was preparing to perform apparatus checks when he became ill at approximately 7 p.m.
Hall went into cardiac arrest while being transported to a local hospital, according to the report.
Efforts to resuscitate Hall were not successful and officials say his death is a result from complications of the cardiac arrest.
