This silo has 14 rings and is 36 feet in diameter. To estimate how much grain is in each ring one uses the formula bushels (bu) = 0.628 x 36 x 36 x 3.333. This translates into approximately 2,700 bu per ring.

Fire departments that perform final inspections should provide time to conduct operational testing of the fire pump, the aerial device and other components, such as the generator and foam system. Aerial devices should include review of the collision-avoidance and override systems.
