Elkhart Brass Wins 'Coolest Thing Made IN Indiana' Contest
Elkhart Brass has won the title of Champion in the 2025 "Coolest Thing Made IN Indiana" tournament with its XD Glow-in-the-Dark Smooth Bore Nozzle. The award was given on Feb. 4 during the Indiana Chamber’s Best in Business Awards Luncheon in Indianapolis.
Through a fan-voted, single-elimination bracket, the statewide competition organized by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce showcases innovative products made in Indiana.
The XD Glow-in-the-Dark Smooth Bore Nozzle, built in Elkhart, is engineered to endure extreme heat, impact, and stress encountered on the fireground. Its built-in glow-in-the-dark parts assist firefighters in swiftly finding and positioning essential gear when there is no visibility, thereby enhancing safety during critical moments.
“Elkhart is a manufacturing heavy region, and we’re proud to be a part of that. This is a lifesaving piece of equipment. It could make or break an incident for a fire department. In addition to that, it’s now the Coolest Thing Made IN Indiana.
