Video: OH Firefighters Pull Woman from Closet in Blaze

Raw video from the scene shows Toledo firefighters rescuing a woman trapped inside a second-floor bedroom closet who couldn't escape when the house caught fire.

Ohio firefighters rescued a woman who was trapped by flames on the second floor of a burning house early Friday.

The fire broke out shortly before 4 a.m. at a home in central Toledo, according to the department. A woman still inside the residence said she couldn't escape a second-floor bedroom, and police officers at the scene reported seeing her in an upstairs window.

Crews quickly knocked down the flames and began searching for the woman inside the house. Firefighters discovered her in an upstairs bedroom closet, and raw video from the scene shows them taking her from the house to the yard.

Medics rushed the woman to the hospital in stable condition, and she was expected to make a full recovery, the department said. No other injuries were reported.

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control just before 4:20 a.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
