FL Firefighters Help Family's Thanksgiving after Tree Fall

Polk County Fire-Rescue crews cut up and removed a tree that had crashed through the roof of a home, helping to make sure a family could still enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.

Florida firefighter made sure a family was still able to enjoy Thanksgiving after tree fell through their roof late Wednesday.

When Polk County Fire-Rescue crews arrived at the scene, they found a large tree had crashed through the house's roof, according to the department. Firefighters were able to cut and remove the tree from the roof, and they placed a temporary tarp over the damage "to keep the elements out for the time being until the family can arrange for repairs," the department said.
