Fast-Moving CO Fire Spreads to Neighboring Homes

Nov. 20, 2021
A house fire in Thornton quickly spread to adjacent homes requiring a three-alarm response with firefighters from six departments.

Firefighters in Thornton worked to control multiple homes that burned after the initial flames from a single-family dwelling quickly spread.

When firefighters arrived, they found a single home fully involved with flames that jumped to neighboring homes and initiated defensive operations.

Two exposures, one which was fully involved, prompted officials to call a second and then third alarm to control the fire and work to prevent further extension.

Department officials are working to determine the cause of this incident.
