Indianapolis firefighters battled a house fire Tuesday afternoon after family members heard a loud noise.
The house fire on the 4000 block of Graceland Avenue was discovered after the occupants heard a loud noise and found the roof on fire, according to a Facebook post by the Indianapolis Fire Department.
Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke conditions from the two-story structure with heavy fire conditions in the back of the home.
Firefighters made an aggressive attack on the structure and brought the fire under control.
One firefighter suffered from dehydration and was transported to Methodist Hospital for treatment.
The home suffered extensive damage.
