The Pharr Fire Department along with multiple mutual aid agencies battled a massive fire at Matt’s Building Materials late Saturday morning.
The fire which started around 11:30 a.m., burned well into the evening requiring resources from multiple surrounding agencies.
When firefighters arrived the buildings were already well involved in fire. City spokeswoman Yuri Gonzalez told KRGV 5 News, residents from multiple homes were evacuated and no injuries were reported.
In a Facebook post Matt's Cash & Carry Building Materials, Inc. thanked first responders saying, “BIG Thanks to the fire department & first responders for coming to the aid!!!”
