One person is dead and over a dozen residents are forced from their apartments after a massive fire in Mesquite late Tuesday night.
Mesquite firefighters battled a massive apartment blaze sparked by an oxygen tank that left one dead and injured a firefighter late Tuesday night.
Firefighters were initially dispatched on a medical call when something sparked a fire with an oxygen tank, according to a report by Fox 4 KDFW.
Firefighters attempted to remove the man from his apartment but were unsuccessful.
Firefighters had to scramble to get into firefighting gear to address the sudden fire that spread through the attic and apartments causing significant damage to the building.
