AZ FF Trapped in Partial Roof Collapse

A Phoenix firefighter was trapped and safely rescued by fellow firefighters after a partial roof collapse at a dwelling fire.

A Phoenix firefighter needed to be rescued after becoming trapped in a partial roof collapse battling a dwelling fire.

Phoenix fire received reports of a flames coming from the home near 49th Street and Dixileta Drive around 10:30 a.m., a department spokesperson told azcentral.com.

The firefighter was quickly rescued and removed from the garage uninjured.

One firefighter sustained a minor leg injury while assisting with the rescue operation of the trapped firefighter.
