Firefighters from Ventura County and Oxnard battled a massive multiple alarm fire that leveled a hotel under construction in Camarillo on Tuesday night.
Firefighters were called to the hotel around 7:15 p.m., when they arrived heavy smoke was showing from the second and fourth floors of the building according to ABC 7 Los Angeles.
Firefighters set up defensive operations to battle the blaze using multiple aerial master streams using sixteen engines and six ladders from agencies around the county.
At one point during the incident, officials were forced to close the 101 Freeway due to fire conditions.
