The Toledo Fire & Rescue Department responded to a fire in a three-story multi-unit family dwelling on Thursday, according to a Facebook post by the department.
As attack crews made an aggressive interior attack, individuals were seen exiting out the back of the building. Search crews were sent in to look for any remaining occupants, but none were found.
At 12:52 PM the incident commander ordered all interior crews out of the structure as conditions rapidly changed with fire venting through the roof and structural integrity in question, according to the post. A defensive position was taken as master streams were applied from the exterior, ground and elevated positions.
WTOL11 reported that the building had been boarded up after a fire April 14.
Fire officials told WTOL that the damage from Thursday's fire was so extensive that the building will have to be demolished.
