Jan. 29--First responders in Danbury used thermal imaging cameras and hand lights to locate two males found at least 75 yards from their car, which rolled over on I-84 near exit 3 late Monday night.

First responders found an empty vehicle at around 11:34 p.m. as well as damaged guard rail and a highway light pole, according to Danbury Fire Department Communications Coordinator James A. Gagliardo.

Crews searched a wooded and wetland area along the highway before ultimately finding one of the men 75 yards from the scene of the rollover. The second man was found in a pool of water between 25 and 30 yards away.

He had a minor head injury and showed "signs of moderate to severe hypothermia," Gagliardo said.

Both men were transported by ambulance to Danbury Hospital Center.
