St. Louis Firefighter Hurt in Fall Battling House Fire

Medics treated the St. Louis firefighter at the scene of the blaze that broke out at three-story brick building Wednesday afternoon.

A St. Louis firefighter was hurt after a fall while battling a house fire Wednesday.

Crews responded before 2:30 p.m. in the three-story brick building, according to the St. Louis Fire Department. While trying to put out the flames, a firefighter partially fell to the second floor from the third.

Paramedics treated the firefighter at the scene, and he is expected to be fine, the department added.

A man was still inside the house when the fire broke out, and he was able to safely escape the burning building, KMOV-TV reports. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
