A firefighter and a resident were injured in a Virginia house blaze early Monday.
The fire broke out before 5:30 a.m., and when Lynchburg crews arrived at the scene, one house was engulfed in flames, which threatened a neighboring home, WFXR-TV reports. Firefighters were told that people were still inside the burning house, but after a search of the home, they discovered the family had escaped.
A firefighter and a resident were taken to the hospital, and their injuries weren't life-threatening, a battalion chief told WFXR. No details were released about how the injuries occurred.
