Two FDNY firefighters were injured during an all-hands response to a burning Staten Island apartment building Wednesday.

The fire broke out shortly after 1 p.m. on the fourth floor of one of the South Beach Houses apartment buildings, the Staten Island Advance reports. Crews worked for about 30 minutes to put out the flames, breaking fourth-floor windows and reaching a ladder into one of the units.

During the blaze, two firefighters were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. A resident also was injured in the blaze and taken to the hospital once the fire was out, the Advance added.
