A Chicago firefighter was injured during a multi-alarm residential blaze early Monday.

Crews responded to a fire that broke out at a vacant home in the city's Humboldt Park neighborhood, WGN-TV reports. Flames caused the house to collapse, and it spread to two nearby buildings

A firefighter suffered heat exhaustion while battling the blaze. The first responder was taken to the hospital and later released.
