Video: Chicago FFs Roust Sleeping Residents to Flee Blaze

When crews arrived at the scene of the raging residential blaze in Chicago's South Loop, they moved quickly through the burning building to make sure occupants were able to safely escape.

Chicago firefighters faced a large residential blaze that left more than a half-dozen displaced Friday.

The fire broke out at about 12:30 a.m. in the city's South Loop neighborhood, WBBM-TV reports. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they rousted many residents from their beds and helped them safely escape the burning building.

The blaze displaced as many as eight residents were displaced by the raging blaze. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
