Eight FDNY firefighters injured while battling a three-alarm fire in the Bronx on Sunday.
Nearly 150 firefighters responded to large blaze, which broke out about noon on the fifth floor of an apartment building in the Highbridge area, WCBS-TV reports. Flames spread to the structure's other floors and erupted through the roof.
A civilian and eight firefighters were injured during the fire. No details were released about the extent of the firefighters' injuries, but according to the department, the civilian suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
