Four Hospitalized at TX Amusement Park Fire

Fire at the Six Flags Over Texas amusement park resulted in four guests being sent to the hospital.

Four guests at Six Flags Over Texas were sent to the hospital after smoke from an electrical fire filled a building where the ride was located.

The Arlington Fire Department responded to one of the park's rides around 6:30 p.m. in regard to smoke being reported at the Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast building, an Arlington Fire Department spokesperson told WFAA.

The incident occurred when a malfunction in a motor caused and electrical fire filling the building with smoke.

Four guests were transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation and one employee was treated for a minor injury.

The park’s safety team was able to control the fire prior to arrival of the fire department.
