The Alameda Fire Department battled a house fire that left two grandparents and a grandchild hospitalized with burns and smoke inhalation.
Fire officials said when crews arrived one resident had already run out to safety. Firefighters rescued the two remaining occupants by pulling them out through a window, KTVU Fox 2 reported.
Both adults are in critical condition likely caused by the smoke inhalation, according to the fire department. One of the victims was transported to a local burn center for treatment.
