Vincennes City Fire Rescue firefighters are on the scene of a structure fire in a two-story building in the 1000 block of Main Street.
Vincennes Fire Battalion Chief Jim Beaman told WTWO/WAWV TV that the initial call came from firefighters stationed nearby who saw smoke coming from the second floor.
According to MyWabashValley.com, a WTWO/WAWV photographer on scene reports that part of the building has collapsed in the blaze.
Beaman told the station that the condition of the building deteriorated rapidly, but added that as far as they know there wasn’t an active business currently located in the building.
No word yet on if anyone was in the building at the time of the fire or any possible injuries..
