Approximately 100 Frederick County Fire & Rescue members battled a massive fire at Camp Airy in Thurmont.
Footage from The Independent shows thick black smoke rising from the charred structure, which was engulfed in flames.
Fire officials released a statement saying, "Units arrived to find smoke showing and a rapid intervention dispatch was initiated. As fire spread, a second alarm was requested and units from Maryland and Pennsylvania responded...At this time the fire is under control and crews are working to extinguish hot spots and perform overhaul."
Camp Airy's website says the campsite is for boys. The camp is about 15 miles north of downtown Frederick.
The building was empty when the fire broke out and no injuries have been reported.
