A fire sparked by lightning caused extensive damage to a Pennsylvania church.
Windber Fire Chief Anson Bloom told Tribune-Democrat reporters the fire spread quickly and got an early start.
He suspects the fire was burning for a while before crews got the call about 4 a.m. Sunday.
The sanctuary of the Windber Church of the Nazarene was unscathed. Among the items saved were the organ, a wooden cross and a pulpit.
