Hydrants were buried in the snow when Weber firefighters tried to begin operations at a popular ski resort.
Crews found the fire was burning through an interior wall and spreading to two other floors of the lodge at Nordic Valley Ski Resort.
Weber Battalion Chief Chazz Pearmain said the fire appears to have started on the second floor of the three-story building, Fox13 reported.
There were no injuries as the lodge was not occupied when the fire broke out.
Officials said the resort will remain closed.
