NY Firefighters Battle House Fire

This house fire took place at 4201 Alken Ave in the Wantagh Fire District on 03/23/03.

Units arrived on the scene to find a 2 story, split-level, private dwelling fully involved.

The house which was vacant from a previous fire on 01/03/03 was completely destroyed.

Exposure # 2, a detached private dwelling, suffered damage from the radiant heat.

Lines went to work to protect the exposures, while an exterior attack was initiated.

The Wantagh FD handled the job, and a FAST unit was requested from N. Massapequa FD.
