Close to two dozen fire units battled a fire that ripped through a Fort Worth apartment building on Aug. 22.
Firefighters were called to the two-story building at the Fairway Estates Apartment complex around 6 p.m. and Engine 20 reported heavy fire showing.
Crews began an interior attack, but 15 minutes into the firefight, intense flames and deteriorating conditions forced crews to retreat.
A second alarm was called and companies worked to bring the fire under control at 7:30 p.m.
Five of the eight units were occupied and 14 people were dispalced.
No injuries were reported.
