New Jersey Gas Station Explodes

(Union, NJ-WABC, January 26, 2004) -- A gas station in Union Township went up in flames just after midnight.

Witnesses say it started with a loud explosion.

The fire tore through the Getty Gas Station on Chestnut Street. Fueled by gas, the blaze easily destroyed the gas station.

Several vehicles parked at the station were damaged. No injuries reported and no word yet on a cause.
