Worker Killed in Collapse at PA Potato Roll Plant

The body of a construction worker was recovered Tuesday night from rubble of a collapsed construction site.

There was a storm in the Chambersburg area when the walls of the new Martin's Famous Potato Roll building came down, ABC27 reported.

New Franklin firefighters called for assistance of special operations teams.

The body of the 30-year-old man was recovered about 9:45 p.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The collapse occurred in a new building under construction not at the plant where the rolls are made.

Martin's is a family-owned and operated company produces bread and rolls shipped across the country. Their most recognizable products are their potato bread and rolls, according to the website.
