Chicago fire crews rescued a tree trimmer with a broken leg who was hanging from a tree 75 feet in the air over the weekend.

The contractor had been working on a tree at a home in the Back of the Yards neighborhood Sunday afternoon when his leg became trapped between branches, WGN-TV reports. His position dangling from the tree made the rescue particularly precarious.

"If the branch let go, it would pull him and pull the ladder and knock the fireman off the ladder,” Deputy Chief Jeffrey Mayer told WGN.

Once safely on the ground, the man was taken to the hospital for treatment for his leg.
