Car Lands in MN Trench Over High-Pressure Line

A driver who suffered a medical emergency left the road with the car ending up in a trench over a 750-psi gas main in Big Lake.
The crash occured around 2:30 p.m. on Highway 10 near County Road 14 and left the driver trapped, according to a post on the Big Lake Fire Department's Facebook page.
When the vehicle left the road, it ended up in a 25-foot trench and landed on a trench box. According to the department's post, "Below the car ran a 750 psi main gas line that if hit could rupture and end the lives of all around."
Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and then extricated the driver before they were taken to the hospital.
Heavy tow rigs from Bob’s Towing and Collins Brothers Towing were used to remove the vehicle from the trench.
The post wrapped up the incident, stating: "Good ending to a situation that could have been very bad."
