Two accidents involving big rigs on Interstate 78, about 10 miles apart, left four people dead in Berks County last night.

Four people were killed in two accidents, just hours apart, on Interstate 78 in Berks County Tuesday evening.

The first accident involved a semi-truck, two cars, and a school bus with no children aboard around 8:30 p.m.

Two died in the wreck, with one vehicle that was crushed under the bus, according to WPVI 6 ABC Action News

Emergency personnel had to call in a heavy wrecker to gain access to the vehicle underneath the bus.

The second accident happened approximately two hours later, 10 miles away, while traffic was being detoured from the first incident.

Two semi-trucks collided one mile west of the Strausstown exit.

That crash left two dead, including a 54-year-old man from Williamsport, and a 24-year-old woman from Reading.
