California firefighters cut free a woman who was pinned inside a car following a high-speed crash over the weekend.
The accident happened shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday along Mesa Drive in Oceanside, according to OnSceneTV. That's when a 1997 Mercedes-Benz SL coupe collided with a tree, sending the vehicle off of the road.
The driver was able to escape the car on his own, but a passenger was still trapped in the vehicle when crews arrived at the scene. Firefighters used power tools to cut away the parts of the car and extricate the woman.
The passenger and the driver were both airlifted to the hospital in serious condition. Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash, OnSceneTV added.
