South King firefighters rescued a woman from a burning apartment building Wednesday evening.
Crews brought her down a ladder from the top story where the roof had collapsed moments before, South King fire officials tweeted.
A firefighter was transported to the hospital for heat-related issues, and a resident was taken for treatment for smoke inhalation, according to The Federal Way Mirror.
The three-alarm fire destroyed 36 units at the Federal Way complex.
The cause of the fire that was visible for a distance is under investigation.
