Dozens of firefighters and family members took part in a four-day talk to honor and remember area firefighters who died of cancer.
The Walk for Red 140 began in Celina, TX, Thursday and ended Sunday at Plano Fire Station 1, according to Fox4News.com.
Among the walkers was retired Mansfield firefighter Eric Peterson, who 31-year-old son - Lancaster firefighter Brandon Peterson - died of lung cancer in 2020.
"He didn’t deserve this. It should’ve been me," Peterson told the television station.
