A Kansas firefighter collapsed in his firehouse Monday night as he prepared to respond to an incident.
Mike Corn, 68, was donning his gear to go to a call with the Conway Springs Fire Department when he collapsed Wednesday night.
Despite immediate aid from his fellow firefighters, he died of a malady that has yet to be determined.
Corn had 35 years of service in the fire service.
He was a retired battalion chief with Wichita Fire Department.
