May 19-- The family of a Reedy Creek firefighter who was found floating in a pool ten days ago following a shift has made the heartbreaking choice to remove him from life support.

The U.S. Fire Administration on Friday announced the line of duty death a day earlier of fire Lt. James Dorminy, who was resuscitated by emergency crews when he was found May 9 but never regained consciousness.

The USFA says Dorminy worked his shift May 8 and responded to three calls: an amusement park ride evacuation, a rescue-assist for a citizen in cardiac arrest, and a false fire alarm. When his tour ended at 7 a.m. on May 9, the 55-year-old went to a fitness center for his normal workout and was found by bystanders a short time later floating in the facility's pool.

Dorminy was a 23-year veteran of fire service, but it's unclear how many of those years he spent with the Reedy Creek Department, which services all of Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista.
