Two firefighters in South Carolina were treated and released from a hospital after a scary moment involving a runaway tractor.
Richburg Fire Rescue shared details of the incident in a Facebook post after crews from multiple departments responded to a reported barn fire in Chester County on Sunday.
While firefighters were operating at the scene, a tractor slipped out of gear and began to roll down a hill toward where Richburg's Engine 812 was staged, striking two members who were standing near the pump panel.
One firefighter suffered lacerations and the other was treated for a hip injury but suffered no broken bones, according to the post. Both were released from the hospital that evening.
"There is no way to express how terrifying the words 'firefighters down' actually are," the post says.
